Pregnant NYC Department of Education and so called “advocates”

I am still waiting for Talia’s replacement ipad ordered on August 23rd. I am also still waiting for my impartial hearing reimbursement from 2019-2020 school year. If I hadn’t paid for school last year, Talia would not have any school to go to. In fact many years the school district offered no school because places just kept rejecting her due to her behaviors. After the Department of Education mislead me for seven months that they would negotiate a settlement, they informed my lawyer I had to go to hearing. I would have compromised on a settlement because impartial hearings are extremely stressful. I finally had my hearing decision which I won on December 28th and I still have not received a dime. To all those self-appointed advocates who are anti Judge Rotenberg Center, they do nothing for children who have no schools or are stuck in hospitals for months and even years living in chemical prisons due to their behaviors. They talk about other effective treatments, but they can’t produce even one research study of an alternative treatment that completely stops all dangerous behaviors in all subjects. In fact, if such a treatment did exist, then I’m sure these individuals would not be spending a significant portion of their lives in hospitals. Furthermore, if these advocates really cared, they would help finance tuition for parents or advocate to NY state to approve these not state approved schools for children whose parents can’t afford non state approved schools when school districts offer them nothing.
